“It’s not so exciting, but every Sunday, I write out what I’ll eat each night of the week,” nutrition expert Brooke Alpert says. “This takes away the stress of it each day and allows me to better organize my grocery delivery and make healthier choices throughout the week.”
“My alarm goes off at 4 p.m. every Sunday so I can remember to sign up for my favorite workout,” explains Alpert.
Bare Bones Bone Broth in Grass-Fed Beef ($65)
Bone broth is so good for you. It has collagen for your skin as well as ingredients that are great for gut health and, subsequently, weight loss. Alpert agrees: “It is never too hot to make bone broth. On Sunday evenings, I throw the ingredients into the slow cooker and let it cook overnight. This way I have my midday bone broth to drink during the week and enough left over to use in recipes.”
Sundown Naturals Magnesium Supplement ($5)
Magnesium, I learned during a recent detox, is a really helpful supplement when you’re trying to lose weight. It aids in relaxation, sleep, bowel motility, and healthy muscle function. “I love what magnesium does for the body,” Alpert asserts. “With Monday morning about to hit, this naturally relaxing mineral helps you sleep soundly. That way you can hit the ground running, come morning.”
“Baked goods creep in during the summer, especially on the weekends. Homemade breads, fresh-baked muffins, chocolate croissants, et. al.,” says Keri Glassman, spokeswoman for Juiceman. Make a decision to steer completely clear of them, and opt for fruits and veggies. That way you won’t already feel defeated when the workweek starts.
